Equipment Required:

Certain Gear is required at a minimum to participate and train Martial Arts, Jiu-Jitsu, and Self-Defense. You will be expected to bring this gear with you to class. This gear is to be kept clean and in good condition to ensure the health and safety of yourself and others in the class. Soiled or dirty uniforms and equipment may bar you from participation.

Gym Bag - Any Bag that can hold the following equipment will do. Strongly recommend clearly labeling bags as Solid Rock Jiu-Jitsu and Faith Community Church will not be responsible for lost equipment or belongings. 

Mouth Guard - It is strongly recommended to wear a mouthguard at all times while participating. A basic mouthguard will be supplied with the Starter Pack. Mouthguard needs to be shaped and formed to the students mouth for maximum effectiveness.

GI - The GI is the official recognized uniform of IBJJF that Jiu-Jitsu students wear during training and competition. This includes the GI Top with appropriate Patches, GI Pants, and Belt. Shorts, shirts, and Rash guards can be worn under GI.

No GI - No GI is any SRJJ class shirt/rash guard & black athletic/martial arts shorts. Shorts should not contain any metal to include buttons or clasps to avoid injury and damage to mats. 

MMA Gloves - Mixed Martial Arts gloves will and may be utilized on both GI and NO GI nights. This will allow students to be comfortable and safe with striking during self defense training.

Belt - The belt is the way we display rank, personal achievement, and growth. Always bring your belt to class. Never wash your belt as it will cause stripes to fall off, the belt to break down, and the belt to fade/discolor.

**Males: a cup and support is recommended and if worn it must remain on during the entire instructional period.**

Remember to always respect your Gear and it will protect you and work when you need it to!!!
